Summary of Responsibilities:

Utilizes Business Intelligence and analytical tools including Tableau, Cognos and SQL. Designs and creates dashboards and reports with business partners.  Develops a solid understanding of business priorities and goals and leverages documented BI and data best practices. Understands use of Tableau data extracts, Cognos data modules and how to use reporting data marts. Builds collaborative partnerships and serves in a liaison role between business and IT in order to achieve efficiency and project success. 

Position Responsibilities:

• Develops solid understanding of business strategies, priorities and goals. Builds collaborative relationships and communicates successfully with associates at all levels, across business and IT. Uses appropriate business- friendly terminology and speaks in appropriate technical terms with IT associates.
• Leverages business knowledge, coupled with technical skills, to offer solutions and work collaboratively with business and IT, participates in technology-related projects.
• Designs, develops, tests and delivers reports and dashboards.
• Understands relational databases. Gathers requirements from business partners and collaborates with peers or IT to create data marts, extracts or modules that support report and dashboard development.
• Troubleshoots report, business intelligence and data issues.
• Mentors, trains and shares knowledge with peers and business users.
• Develops and implements best practices with peers and maintains confidentiality.
• Responds with flexibility to changing priorities and new projects that arise throughout the year.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.
