Overview

Work directly on a part-time basis with AVP of Advanced Sales or Markets Consultant who supports life and annuity distribution channels. The advanced markets internship includes a hands-on experience with various assignments within Advanced Markets that includes sales, marketing, research and writing. In addition, the intern will receive training in estate planning, business planning, charitable planning, asset protection, and income tax planning for the high net worth and affluent client.

Responsibilities

What you will do:

  • Assigned to an Advanced Markets and Sales Consultants AVP to work in the assigned region.
  • Assist with document review request of client Wills and Trust as well business owners entity formation and valuations.
  • Conduct legal research projects and provide written reports as needed.
  • Drafts responses for information related to Annuity & Life Insurance Marketing material.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.

Qualifications

  • Enrollment in law school or intention to pursue a law degree after college is preferred.
  • Class Level: 2L (preferred) or 1L (considered).
  • Must be detail-oriented, organized and demonstrated ability to work independently.
  • Strong written and verbal comunication skills.
  • Proven strong analytical and research skills.
  • A desire for continuous learning and improvement.
  • Demonstrated ability to take iniitative.
  • A proven ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanor when interacting with others.

Work Setting/Position Demands:

  • Works in an office setting and remains in a stationary position for long periods of time while working at a desk, on a computer or with other standard office equipment, or while in meetings.
  • Requires the ability to verbally communicate and exchange accurate information to customers and associates on a regular basis.
  • Requires visual acuity to read and interpret a variety of correspondence, procedures, reports and forms via paper and electronic documents, visual inspection involving small defects; small parts, and/or operation of machinery (including inspection); using measurement devices continuously. Visual acuity is required to determine accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work assigned.
  • Requires the ability to prepare written correspondence, reports and forms using prescribed formats and conforming to rules of punctuation, grammar, diction, and style on a regular basis.
  • Requires the ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Performs substantial movement of wrists, hands, and fingers for continuous computer work.
  • Extended hours required during peak workloads or special projects/events.
