Overview

Operates high-speed digital copiers utilizing the various digital front ends to each machine. Works with Graphic Designers and other customers to produce quality documents and forms used by customers and Enterprise associates. Works with some supervision and is responsible for making a minimal range of decisions, escalating to manager or assistant manager when appropriate and updating manager or assistant manager on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

What you will do:
  • Reviews color or black and white requirements and paper specifications for all jobs in copying area.

  • Examines proofs and makes adjustments to files to obtain desired results for our customers.

  • Coordinates schedules with pre-press and bindery associates to assure timely production of work.

  • Retrieves work from network file server to replenish inventory forms and produce on-demand forms.

  • Produces documents for customers on digital copiers using electronic or scanned files. Edits and revises electronic files to prepare for production including collation of unique files and tabs.

  • Combines variable data with static files to produce personalized documents.

  • Performs daily and monthly maintenance on copiers, including calibrations, to assure equipment is in good operating condition.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma Or GED (Required)
  • Demonstrated experience maintaining a calm and professional demeanor when handling demanding situations. (Required) and

  • Proven experience coordinating multiple projects simultaneously, and completing assigned tasks accurately and on a timely basis. Must demonstrate strong attention to detail and possess excellent organizational skills. (Required)
  • Proven basic knowledge of digital printing functions.

  • Demonstrated verbal communication skills with ability to convey information in a clear and concise manner and interpret instructions.

  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and apply changing technologies. Must cite examples.

  • Proven sufficient mathematic abilities to perform standard graphic arts production procedures such as multiplying, dividing and reading a ruler, which involves decimals and fractions.

  • Working knowledge of word processing application.
Work Setting/Position Demands:
  • This position works primarily in inside environment conditions. Frequent exposure to noise, dirt, odors, temperature. Demonstrated ability to walk (frequent) stand (frequent), stoop (occasional), reach (frequent), bend (frequent), kneel (occasional), crouch (occasional), applicable), push, climb (occasional) and lift a maximum of 50 lbs. unassisted. Position is required to remain in a continuously stationary position (sitting or standing) for long periods of time.

  • Requires the ability to verbally communicate and exchange accurate information to customers and associates on a regular basis (frequent).

  • Requires visual acuity to read and interpret a variety of correspondence, procedures, reports and forms via paper and electronic documents, visual inspection involving small defects; small parts, and/or operation of machinery (including inspection); using measurement devices continuously. Visual acuity is required to determine accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work assigned. (frequent)

  • Requires the ability to prepare written correspondence, reports and forms using prescribed formats and conforming to rules of punctuation, grammar, diction, and style on a regular basis. (frequent / occasional depending on position)

  • Requires the ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. (frequent)

  • Ability to make substantial repetitive movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, fingers, arms, shoulders, hips and waist.(frequent)

  • Extended hours required during peak workloads or special projects/events.
