Overview

Provides a broad range of sales, marketing, technical and operations support to producers and registered representatives of B/D in assigned territory. Works with paired field members of Distribution Support Team (DST) to provide services in assigned territory and supports other regions as needed. Focuses on sustaining and enhancing relationships with producers and registered representatives. Utilizes extensive in-depth product information to answer questions from the field. Works with minimal supervision and is responsible to make an established range of decisions, escalates to manager when necessary and updates manager on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

What you will do:

  • Provides sales and product support to producers, registered representatives of B/D and field members of DST.
  • Develops close coordination and working relationship with External Wholesaler in executing and scheduling field activities.
  • Answers inbound calls and makes proactive support calls to producers and registered representatives of B/D. Follows up on sales calls, identifies new sales opportunities and promotes new and existing products.
  • Answers inbound calls and makes reactive support calls to producers and registered representatives of B/D. These include following up on sales calls and answering questions on products.
  • Develops and utilizes advanced product and operational procedure knowledge. Product knowledge includes CLIC fixed and variable products and their imbedded features; product introductions and enhancements/updates.
  • Participates in product, systems, sales presentations and phone training for all Internal Wholesalers.
  • Participates in a variety of other sales support functions, including telemarketing efforts, written communications, sales presentations and special projects.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field, or commensurate selection criteria experience. (Required)
  • Proven sales or customer service experience in the financial services or related industry. (Required) and
  • Must be able to cite examples from work experience on identifying complex problems, quantifying the problem and providing creative resolutions to solve. Provide examples of strong negotiating skills to resolve problems and cite examples of self-motivation and experience working under limited supervision. (Required)
  • Proven strong analytical skills, including demonstrated experience identifying and quantifying problems and providing effective solutions.
  • Must provide examples of effectively presenting information to individuals at all levels.
  • Possesses and displays excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to convey information to internal and external customers in a clear, focused and concise manner.
  • Cite examples where they have effectively demonstrated teamwork and how it impacted their job.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and use of Internet.
  • Life/Health insurance license within 180 Days (Required)
  • Series 6 and 63 licenses within 1 Year (Required)

Work Setting/Position Demands:

  • This position travels and works in various office settings and requires being in a stationary position for long periods of time frequently while working at a desk, on a computer or with other standard office equipment, or while in meetings. Position requires frequent movement of wrist, hands and fingers for continuous computer work.
  • Requires the ability to verbally communicate and exchange accurate information to customers and associates on a regular basis.
  • Requires visual acuity to read and interpret a variety of correspondence, procedures, reports and forms via paper and electronic documents, visual inspection involving small defects; Visual acuity is required to determine accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work.
  • Requires the ability to prepare written correspondence, reports and forms using prescribed formats and conforming to rules of punctuation, grammar, diction, and style on a regular basis.
  • Requires the ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Extended hours required during peak workloads or special projects/events.
