Overview

Agency Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for testing of the system updates and upgrades, including the Agency Portal, VUE, Licensing Portal, Salesforce, OnBase, and IVR. Assisting in developing business requirements, test cases and performing UAT for new projects, initiatives and releases. Works closely with GLIC IT, ITSD, CSSI, Lead Agency Business Analyst, Lead Commission Analyst and GLIC Program Team.

Responsibilities

What you will do:

  • Assists the Lead Business Analyst with writing and reviewing business/system requirements and scope statements.
  • Creates and documents test cases.
  • Responsible for tracking, testing and completion of JIRA, PR, click-up and client care tickets for enhancements and defects.
  • Performs ongoing testing in UAT in each environment.
  • Provides support to various departments on projects and initiatives.
  • Works with the various business areas to identify operational inefficiencies and assist in the development and implementation of system and process improvements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Or equivalent experience (Required) and
  • 3+ years' relevant work experience. (Required)
  • 2 years of progressive experience in a QA or BA capacity. (Required) and
  • Demonstrated experience in UAT environment of software systems. (Required) and
  • Demonstrated experience in writing business requirements. (Required) and
  • Demonstrated experience in writing test cases. (Required)
  • Demonstrated insurance industry knowledge.
  • Proven strong communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Proven technical aptitude to learn new systems.
  • Knowledge of Gerber Life systems, including VUE, Agent Portal, Salesforce and OnBase (preferred).
  • CTFL Upon Hire (Preferred)

Work Setting/Position Demands:

  • Works in an office setting and remains in a stationary position for long periods of time while working at a desk, on a computer or with other standard office equipment, or while in meetings.
  • Requires the ability to verbally communicate and exchange accurate information to customers and associates on a regular basis.
  • Requires visual acuity to read and interpret a variety of correspondence, procedures, reports and forms via paper and electronic documents, visual inspection involving small defects; small parts, and/or operation of machinery (including inspection); using measurement devices continuously. Visual acuity is required to determine accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work assigned.
  • Requires the ability to prepare written correspondence, reports and forms using prescribed formats and conforming to rules of punctuation, grammar, diction, and style on a regular basis.
  • Requires the ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Performs substantial movement of wrists, hands, and fingers for continuous computer work.
  • Extended hours required during peak workloads or special projects/events.
