Overview

Provides a broad range of sales, marketing, technical and operations support to the RSVPs, advisors and PPGAs. Focuses on sustaining and enhancing relationships with field distribution. Uses knowledge of Lafayette Life products, services and systems to provide both electronic delivery and field training to support the growth in company premium. While reporting to the Manager of Internal Wholesalers & Marketing Operations, this position must work effectively with the RSVPs and all home office personnel to build or enhance relationships with key distributors

Responsibilities

What you will do:

  • Provides electronic and in-the-field support for all the RSVPs/PPGAs by engaging in the following: Producer and staff orientation and on-boarding. Producer and staff training. Product introduction. Trained in contract and licensing and new business processes
  • Makes proactive, outbound sales-oriented calls to newly appointed producers for training and assimilation with product, illustrations and new business processes to promote and generate new life and annuity premium sales from new producers.
  • Follows new business applications through the underwriting process and makes outbound calls to producers to help place business.
  • Develops close coordination and working relationships with RSVPs in executing the life and annuity premium sales plans of assigned region(s), including making calls on potential sales opportunities to targeted producers for whom the RSVP is unable to contact.
  • Answers inbound calls and emails from producers and RSVPs of assigned region(s) to actively support requests for product training and information, illustration system training and support, and case design, including assessment needs for current producer sales opportunities and pending new business follow-up support.
  • Answers inbound calls and emails as liaison and conduit for producers for contact with operational and administrative departments, such as commissions, customer service, advanced sales support, etc. Follows up on these requests, both internally and externally, to assure that the information requested or questions asked were successfully fulfilled.
  • Answers inbound calls and emails as technical liaison and conduit for producers with assistance with LLIC website navigation, secure email assistance, e-application and e-policy delivery.
  • Participates in a variety of other sales and Company support functions, including strategic initiative projects, telemarketing projects as needed, written field communications, new product testing, illustration certification and sales presentation development.
  • Promptly notifies management of serious client problems or concerns and any trends in concerning issues.
  • Continues personal development and career growth through training programs made available at Lafayette Life and W&SFG. Maintains expertise in sales techniques, new or updated product and benefits knowledge, in addition to current business, understands market and economic conditions through internal associate contacts and publication readings.
  • Provides support to the RSVP field management and home office marketing teams.
  • Provides additional support to the RSVPs and has working knowledge of sales concepts as required
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree B.A. or B.S. or equivalent work experience (Preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience in the life insurance industry of two-plus years (Required)
  • Proven strong knowledge of life insurance and annuities: • Product. • Sales and marketing concepts. • Exposure to/awareness of PPGA systems. • Solid knowledge of LLIC's service functions to include contract and licensing, new business and customer service function
  • Demonstrated effective training and presentation skills - electronic and face-to-face.
  • Proven strong knowledge of LLIC's illustration system and ability to train advisors and PPGAs on this system. Strong knowledge of Company software.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of selling systems as utilized by Lafayette Life.
  • Proven strong service ethics that are able to support multiple RSVPs and work directly with PPGA and advisors as guided by the RSVPs as well as responding to needs of the field in a timely fashion.
  • Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple demands, work with multiple RSVPs and continue to stay focused on core position deliverables.
  • Proven strong team player who is able to act professionally and responsibly with diverse PPGA structures, home office colleagues and the needs in the field
  • Ability to use and train on LLIC software
  • Life/Health insurance license within 60 days of employment within 60 Days (Required)
  • LOMA Upon Hire (Preferred)

Work Setting/Position Demands:

  • This position travels and works in various office settings and requires being in a stationary position for long periods of time frequently while working at a desk, on a computer or with other standard office equipment, or while in meetings. Position requires frequent movement of wrist, hands and fingers for continuous computer work.
  • Requires the ability to verbally communicate and exchange accurate information to customers and associates on a regular basis.
  • Requires visual acuity to read and interpret a variety of correspondence, procedures, reports and forms via paper and electronic documents, visual inspection involving small defects; Visual acuity is required to determine accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work.
  • Requires the ability to prepare written correspondence, reports and forms using prescribed formats and conforming to rules of punctuation, grammar, diction, and style on a regular basis.
  • Requires the ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Extended hours required during peak workloads or special projects/events.

Travel Requirements:

  • 20% travel Up to 20% travel
