Overview
Collaborates with the Regional Vice President (External Wholesaler) or National Account Managers (NAMs) to strategically manage the assigned territory. Proactively reaches out to agents and representatives regarding information on product features and benefits, building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders to drive the sale of W&SFGD products. Operates independently with minimal supervision, exercising judgment in day-to-day decisions, and escalates issues to the Manager as needed while keeping them regularly informed.
Responsibilities
What you will do:- Proactive Outreach: Initiates calls within the assigned territory to market and promote life insurance and/or annuity products to representatives and agents. Assists in determining the most suitable products based on clients' financial circumstances and needs, highlighting product advantages, disadvantages, features, and benefits. Communicates updates and changes to product information as necessary.
- Relationship Management: Qualifies potential new relationships while nurturing existing ones to increase sales. Utilizes open-ended questions to explore advisors' client base, current offerings, and introduces our value proposition to encourage adoption of W&SFGD products.
- Sales Follow-up: Provides follow-up support from external wholesaler/NAM meetings by reviewing key discussion points, offering additional product information, and reinforcing our value proposition. Works to close sales opportunities by advising on product benefits and sending marketing materials when needed.
- Customer Service: Responds to inbound service-related calls, ensuring excellent customer service for both internal and external stakeholders. Identifies potential sales opportunities through reactive telemarketing efforts.
- Territory Management: Collaborates with external wholesalers/NAMs to develop marketing strategies, organize scheduling, and coordinate prospecting activities to effectively manage the assigned territory.
- Database Management: Maintains detailed records within the contact management database, capturing key insights, intelligence, and responses to sales engagements.
- Product Knowledge: Builds advanced knowledge of life insurance, fixed, and variable annuity products. Develops a deep understanding of financial markets, key champions within firms, and the competitive landscape to effectively position products and address in-depth client inquiries.
- Compliance: Ensures adherence to internal policies, external regulatory requirements, and industry compliance standards at all times.
- Systems Expertise: Utilizes in-depth knowledge of proprietary systems to support distribution needs, ensuring efficient access to product information, sales data, and client insights. Leverages these systems to enhance sales processes, streamline operations, and provide timely support to both internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree Or commensurate selection criteria experience - Required
- Must be able to cite examples from work experience on identifying complex issues, quantifying the issue and providing creative resolutions to solve. - Required
- Previous experience working with sales databases is preferred. - Preferred
- Proven experience involving customer service. - Required
- Proven ability to grasp new products, concepts and procedures. Extensive knowledge of products or relevant experience in the sales of other financial products is preferred. -
- Must provide examples of handling difficult situations while maintaining high volumes of work. -
- Demonstrated negotiation skills with both internal and external customers, achieving favorable outcomes while maintaining strong relationships. -
- Demonstrated strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Cite examples of organization and time management methods used to manage or prioritize workload demands. -
- Must be able to cite examples of self-motivation and experience working under limited supervision. -

- Proficient in word processing and spreadsheet applications. Comfortable using the internet and email for business communications. -
- Must successfully pass the Life, Variable Annuity (and Health, as appropriate), FINRA SIE, Series 6 & 63 licensing exams in home state. within 180 Days - Required
Work Setting/Position Demands:- Works in an office setting and remains in a stationary position for long periods of time while working at a desk, on a computer or with other standard office equipment, or while in meetings.
- Requires the ability to verbally communicate and exchange accurate information to customers and associates on a regular basis.
- Requires visual acuity to read and interpret a variety of correspondence, procedures, reports and forms via paper and electronic documents, visual inspection involving small defects; small parts, and/or operation of machinery (including inspection); using measurement devices continuously. Visual acuity is required to determine accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work assigned.
- Requires the ability to prepare written correspondence, reports and forms using prescribed formats and conforming to rules of punctuation, grammar, diction, and style on a regular basis.
- Requires the ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Performs substantial movement of wrists, hands, and fingers for continuous computer work.
