Overview

Executes web content and projects related to internal and external websites, email marketing initiatives, including the assistance with brand and development, distribution strategy, contact database management, SPAM requirements and compliance with the Marketing & Digital Center of Excellence (M&DCOE) best practice standards for format and cross-browser/platform compatibility.Assists with execution of initiatives related to digital marketing strategies on behalf of the Business Units. In conjunction with the Digital Specialist II, runs reports that provide email statistics, digital metrics and web analytics. Works under some supervision, escalating issues to Manager as appropriate.

Responsibilities

What you will do:

  • Assists with execution of digital marketing initiatives.
  • Learns and stays apprised of compliance and legal requirements to ensure digital efforts adhere to Western & Southern and industry regulations.
  • Supports acquisition and retention efforts planned to drive traffic to website and grow email distribution lists and supports sales and marketing initiatives by administering database lists.
  • Coordinates with stakeholders to execute business strategy for social media initiatives. Builds and preserves relationships with external vendors where appropriate.
  • Assists with the coordination of timelines for web updates with the Information Technology group and M&DCOE. Collaborates with M&DCOE to support CMS system, implement new features and resolve issues. Works independently to stay current on industry and marketing best practices.
  • Assists with the coordination with M&DCOE for creative design and development of both the visual and functional elements for the purposes of digital marketing. Converts sales materials, newsletters and other print communications into appropriate electronic formats.
  • Helps to develop insightful business recommendations, while ensuring effective creative development and execution.
  • Serves as content support for internal and external websites using Web Content Management System (CMS) technology.
  • Stays up to date on competitor websites and business practices, identifying opportunities for enhancements.
  • Establishes relationships with stakeholders to solicit sales feedback and input on website usability.
  • Assists with running reports as requested by internal and external customers.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or commensurate selection criteria experience - Preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of various Internet browsers and email applications (Marketing Cloud). - Preferred
  • Knowledge of graphic design applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, lnDesign) and file formats for supporting IFS graphic designers. - Preferred
  • Proficient knowledge of web authoring tools for implementation of email distribution through SalesForce Marketing Cloud. - Preferred
  • Knowledge of current web technologies (Sitecore). - Preferred
  • Proficient in web-based databases management for list organization. - Preferred
  • Proficient in word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software applications. - Preferred
  • Ability to work on both PC and MacIntosh platforms. - Preferred

Work Setting/Position Demands:

  • Works in an office setting and remains in a stationary position for long periods of time while working at a desk, on a computer or with other standard office equipment, or while in meetings.
  • Requires the ability to verbally communicate and exchange accurate information to customers and associates on a regular basis.
  • Requires visual acuity to read and interpret a variety of correspondence, procedures, reports and forms via paper and electronic documents, visual inspection involving small defects; small parts, and/or operation of machinery (including inspection); using measurement devices continuously. Visual acuity is required to determine accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work assigned.
  • Requires the ability to prepare written correspondence, reports and forms using prescribed formats and conforming to rules of punctuation, grammar, diction, and style on a regular basis.
  • Requires the ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Performs substantial movement of wrists, hands, and fingers for continuous computer work.
  • Extended hours required during peak workloads or special projects/events.
