Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled, detail-oriented, motivated Graphic Designer to join our dynamic marketing team. The ideal candidate has client-side experience working on projects across various marketing channels (mostly digital but some offline as well), a self-starter who is enthusiastic with a great attitude, willing to learn, and eager to be a part of an integrated marketing team. The role will assist and report to the Senior Brand/Creative Manager. In addition to solid design skills this role also requires very sharp production skills. Attention to detail and is critical to ensure jobs are timely and completed with exceptional quality. Seeking a candidate who is a committed team player that can juggle multiple projects, prioritize workload, and manage to timelines. The ability to understand objectives, collaborate, take direction and feedback from fellow team members is also essential. This individual has a design portfolio (online preferred) and work experience that highlights and promotes creative, production skills and sets them apart.

Responsibilities

What you will do:

  • Produce effective designs across a spectrum of company collateral and media channels that align with Gerber Life branding and messaging. Create graphics and visuals for the Gerber Life web site, social media platforms, email campaigns and other channels, ensuring alignment with campaign strategies.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all visual communications, maintaining alignment with corporate identity and guidelines. Develop and refine brand assets, including logos, typography, color schemes, and visual styles. Help evolve and enhance the company's visual identity to remain modern and engaging within the financial services sector.
  • Proactively and effectively project manage multiple workflows, working with Senior Creative/Brand Manager and other members of the marketing team to set priorities and translate business objectives into solutions to resonate with the target audiences and drive campaign KPIs.
  • Design with the customer journey in mind, creating intuitive and engaging visuals that enhance the user experience on digital platforms.
  • Prepare and finalize files for both print and digital media, ensuring all designs meet technical specifications and quality standards.
  • Work with compliance & product managers on the layout and production of various applications and forms for use across the organization. Ensure all designs adhere to industry regulations, compliance, company policies and regulatory requirements and disclosures, particularly concerning the representation of life insurance products and services.
  • Work with and communicate effectively with external agencies, vendors, as well as internal stakeholders on projects to execute digital and print projects efficiently. Incorporate feedback from stakeholders and compliance and make revisions to designs as needed to meet objectives, legal requirements and optimize outcomes.
  • Stay up-to-date and forward thinking with creative and industry trends, competitor designs, user preferences, design tools, and best practices, and incorporate innovative design techniques to continuously elevate the quality and impact of our marketing materials. Continually explore new tools, technologies and areas of improving efficiencies in the production process to help facilitate delivery of information faster. Both creative and martech.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Graphic Design, Web Design or Advertising - Preferred
  • 7-10+ Years of Graphic/visual design experience, preferably on the client side, working across various marketing channels, digital and offline channels - Preferred
  • Expertise with Mac OS, Adobe CC, MS Office, Figma - Preferred
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat) Required
  • Experience with UX/UI design, proficiency with FIGMA Preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Technology: Powerpoint, Excel, Outlook and Word Required
  • Experience with project management platforms (JIRA, Trello, Etc) as part of creative workflow Preferred
  • Experience with image optimizing, retouching, manipulation, color corrections Required
  • Experience with video editing a plus Preferred
  • Expertise in Visual Quality Assurance (VQA) of image size format, color format, and file delivery format Required
  • Experience in design, layout, color, and typography to produce digital assets Required
  • Experience in printer spec language and output as well as working with outside print vendors and digital production Required
  • Strong visual and conceptual skills to solve problems and create solutions Required
  • Knowledgeable in industry standard digital production technologies for pixel-perfect branded design assets Required
  • Organizational skills with attention to detail Required

Work Setting/Position Demands:

  • Works in an office setting and remains in a stationary position for long periods of time while working at a desk, on a computer or with other standard office equipment, or while in meetings.
  • Requires the ability to verbally communicate and exchange accurate information to customers and associates on a regular basis.
  • Requires visual acuity to read and interpret a variety of correspondence, procedures, reports and forms via paper and electronic documents, visual inspection involving small defects; small parts, and/or operation of machinery (including inspection); using measurement devices continuously. Visual acuity is required to determine accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work assigned.
  • Requires the ability to prepare written correspondence, reports and forms using prescribed formats and conforming to rules of punctuation, grammar, diction, and style on a regular basis.
  • Requires the ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Performs substantial movement of wrists, hands, and fingers for continuous computer work.
  • Extended hours required during peak workloads or special projects/events.

Travel Requirements:

  • 10% travel Local travel and within US for business meetings and industry conferences
