Overview

Provides administration support of ServiceNow environment at Western & Southern Financial Group (W&SFG). Works with the ServiceNow engineers, process owners, other IT application teams, vendors and business partners to manage the configuration, implementation and maintenance of a ServiceNow platform in an agile development environment. Works with ServiceNow development team and stakeholders to support business objectives of W&SFG through cost-effective use of tools, technology and reporting best practices. Works with some supervision and is responsible for making minimal range of decisions, escalating to Manager when appropriate and updating management on a regular basis

Responsibilities

What you will do:
  • Performs ServiceNow daily support, administration and maintenance of ServiceNow core and application environments.
  • Works with ServiceNow process owners and development team to make necessary configuration and system changes for ServiceNow applications, including but not limited to IT Service Management (ITSM), IT Business Management (ITBM) and Security Operations (SECOPS).
  • Assists ServiceNow development team and process owners' implementation of ServiceNow workflow, report development, dashboard creation and system configuration.
  • Works with ServiceNow end users to resolve support incidents and completes request items and tasks related to ServiceNow support and access.
  • Assists ServiceNow development team in performing administration tasks required for ServiceNow patches, security updates and upgrades.
  • Reviews ServiceNow administration processes and takes proactive steps to identify and optimize areas of improvement where needed.
  • Works with ServiceNow development team and process owners to build proficiency in ServiceNow Developer and foundational functions, including but not limited to Service Portal, Service Catalog, Knowledge Management, CMDB and integration. Develops understanding of how at least one ServiceNow domain adds business value including business processes, schemas, data structures and user communities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Or commensurate selection criteria experience. - Required
  • Demonstrated experience in ServiceNow configuration and administration in an enterprise environment - Required
  • Proven experience in creating business reports, metrics and dashboards. - Required
  • Proven experience coordinating multiple assignments simultaneously and completing tasks accurately and on a timely basis with minimal supervision. - Required
  • Demonstrated experience interacting and building relationships with customers throughout the corporate structure. - Required
  • Demonstrated experience setting, successfully implementing and achieving goals. - Required
  • Proven experience working effectively within a team. Cite examples of collaborating with team members in work environment. - Required
  • Demonstrated aptitude for computer programming work and good logical-problem solving abilities. -
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to convey information to internal and external customers in a clear, focused and concise manner. -
  • Demonstrated strong attention to detail with good organizational skills. Ability to define problems, collect or interpret data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. -
  • Cite examples of self-motivation and experience working under limited supervision. -
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a cross-functional team environment (business and information technology). -
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office. -

Work Setting/Position Demands:

  • Works in an office setting and remains in a stationary position for long periods of time while working at a desk, on a computer or with other standard office equipment, or while in meetings.
  • Requires the ability to verbally communicate and exchange accurate information to customers and associates on a regular basis.
  • Requires visual acuity to read and interpret a variety of correspondence, procedures, reports and forms via paper and electronic documents, visual inspection involving small defects; small parts, and/or operation of machinery (including inspection); using measurement devices continuously. Visual acuity is required to determine accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work assigned.
  • Requires the ability to prepare written correspondence, reports and forms using prescribed formats and conforming to rules of punctuation, grammar, diction, and style on a regular basis.
  • Requires the ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Performs substantial movement of wrists, hands, and fingers for continuous computer work.
  • Extended hours required during peak workloads or special projects/events.
