Summary of Responsibilities:
The internship will be a project-oriented experience. The intern will be assigned various projects during the summer, which could include budgeting, analytical analysis, operations, marketing, client service, compliance, business development, investment research and/or operational/database management-related matters. The intern will obtain direct exposure to Fort Washington Investment Advisors (FWIA) and Western & Southern Financial Group (W&SFG) senior management, and he/she will be expected to generate and deliver a "final" PowerPoint presentation to senior management at the end of the internship period.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Works closely with the Identity & Access Management (IAM) team to develop, build and deliver the future state (IAM) strategy for the Enterprise. This includes helping define a vision for how identities will be managed across all parts of the business, and how the associated access to systems and data will be maintained. Helps drive the technical delivery of (IAM) solutions required to support the needs of the business. Works to understand industry best practices, emerging trends and the latest open source methods that will help address current challenges and enable new ways of delivering value to the Enterprise. Consults with IT project teams and application development teams to provide assistance in their deployment of business and IT applications. Escalates when needed and updates senior team members and Manager on a regular basis.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Assists in research, analysis, definition, design, testing, checking and planning activities and applying new technologies to processes. Recommends courses of action on new applications development when systems problems arise. Monitors the rapidly changing systems development environment (software products, programming languages, operating systems, hardware availability, technology trends, etc.) and assists with the transition to new technologies, providing research and problem-solving support, mentoring, training, etc. Has contact with all levels of personnel, both within and outside of Western & Southern Financial Group (W&SFG). Responsibilities
LDP Summer Internship
LDP internships give candidates a realistic preview of life as a full-time LDP associate at Western & Southern Financial Group. The internship lasts 10-12 weeks during the summer between years one and two of a student's MBA program. LDP interns work on projects of the same magnitude as those assigned to LDP associates – giving them the same fast-paced, exciting opportunities.
As an LDP intern, you report to the senior officer of your assigned operation and meet with business unit heads throughout Western & Southern Financial Group.Your summer assignment focuses on business deliverables for strategic initiatives within your assigned unit and culminates in a presentation to senior management.
LDP Associate
LDP associates participate in four to six rotations over the three-year program that provide a strategic perspective of the major business units that comprise Western & Southern Financial Group. Typical assignments include:
- investments
- marketing
- financial analysis
- due diligence
- strategic planning
Each assignment provides you ownership of the most demanding and leading-edge projects in Western & Southern Financial Group.
Our LDP program is small and select, and LDP associates receive a generous share of our senior leaders’ time and attention. You report directly to the most senior officer responsible for your assigned operation. In addition, a member of senior management is selected as your coach and mentor – your advocate throughout the program – to ensure your experiences effectively prepare you for a leadership role.
After successfully completing three years of rotational assignments throughout Western & Southern Financial Group’s family of companies, LDP associates are promoted to officer-level positions. Placement is based on your career interests and passions as well as organizational needs. With solid academic MBA backgrounds and three years of strategic exposure to our businesses, LDP alumni are well prepared for the next level of leadership within our organization.

Summary of Responsibilities:
Provides leadership and direction to support business objectives of Western & Southern Financial Group (W&SFG) through cost effective use of technology, staff and business practices. Leads and develops a team of managers and skilled personnel. Is responsible for the long-term vision, development and maturation of the Project Management Office (PMO) Center of Excellence (CoE) to offer services to both the IT Department and the Enterprise. Is responsible for delivery of the Program/Project Portfolio for the Enterprise. Directs activities for multiple, complex enterprise initiatives, ensuring that the initiative's business needs are addressed effectively and as agreed upon with the business partners. Is accountable for all strategic project-related processes, tools, metrics and documentation delivering value and meeting quality standards, budgets and deadlines. Works with minimal supervision and is responsible for making a broad range of decisions, escalating to executive-level associates when necessary and updating executive-level associates on a regular basis.

Produces or modifies computer programs of all sizes and complexity. Solves systems and program problems. Recommends courses of action on new application jobs, while considering the total system spectrum, from source document origination to final systems output and handling. Handles extensive research, analysis, definition and documentation on all facets of the job. Recommends the appropriate hardware solution (personal computer, LAN, mainframe, client server, etc.) for the application. Provides mentoring support for less experienced programming staff. Works with minimal supervision and is responsible for making an established range of decisions, escalating to Manager when necessary and updating Manager on a regular basis.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Installs, maintains and repairs heating, ventilating, air conditioning, refrigeration systems, control systems and a variety of electrical and mechanical equipment in properties managed by Eagle Realty Group. Will be skilled in cleaning, adjusting and repairing systems. Responsible for air quality systems from installation to end-of-life by performing maintenance, warranty and emergency repairs. Works with minimal supervision and is responsible for making an established range of decisions, escalating to manager when necessary and updating manager on a regular basis. Assists manager and/or SR HVAC Service Technician with estimating equipment replacement and installation cost. Supervises external contractors/vendors as needed.

Paints and redecorates walls, ceilings, doors, etc., in the Western & Southern Financial Group home office and other properties managed by Western & Southern's Real Estate subsidiary. Performs complex Enterprise financial accounting and/or budgeting and cost accounting, reporting and analysis. Prepares journal entries on a day-to-day basis to properly record financial transactions. Prepares regulatory, external and internal financial reporting. Prepares financial analysis, presenting results to departmental and shared service leadership. Participates as a subject matter expert on technical accounting matters and as a team leader/member on special projects. Works with minimal supervision and is responsible for making an established range of decisions, escalating to management when necessary.

Provides monitoring, problem determination and resolution on calls, emails and self-service incidents. Provides support to internal associates for either hardware, software, server, mainframe applications or peripherals. Documents all issues in the ServiceNow platform to track caller trends. Recommends system modifications to reduce user problems. Escalates more complex incidents to second-tier support or higher. Uses incident and problem modules within the ServiceNow Platform and attentive detail to the PureConnect Service Desk phone system. Works with minimal supervision and makes an established range of decisions, escalating to Manager when necessary.

The Touchstone investment and product strategy internship provides an introduction to critical elements of the asset management industry, generally, and Touchstone’s business, specifically. During this 8-10 week program, you will engage with, learn about and contribute to Touchstone’s asset manager research, global market strategy, product management and business consulting efforts. Champions enterprise-wide collaboration and develops close partnerships with both business and IT leaders in order to foster a deeper understanding of the business benefits of leveraging data, business intelligence, data analysis tools and CRM capabilities. Fosters creation of best practices and sets standards for use of Tableau. Leads prioritization, design, development and delivery of business intelligence solutions, database enhancements, data analysis tools, reports, dashboards and CRM capabilities. Solves complex business and technical problems. Mentors others across the enterprise on Tableau new release capabilities and their business impact. Creates training materials that can be used throughout the Tableau community and conducts training sessions. Shares knowledge of multiple databases, data flows and relationships across various sources. Serves as the subject matter expert for WSFGD/Touchstone data on enterprise-level projects. Institutes appropriate testing methodologies and confirms they are implemented. Monitors production support activities for the department, assures issues are resolved, root cause identified when possible and permanent solutions applied. Responds with flexibility to changing priorities and new project assignments. Works with minimal supervision and independently makes a broad range of critical decisions, escalating to VPs and executive-level associates only when appropriate.
