Working independently, prepares state and local tax compliance for various life and non-life corporate and joint venture entities. Assists in tax research that may arise during tax compliance preparation (e.g., due date and estimate requirements), and prepares and assembles state, county, municipal and other miscellaneous state and local taxes. Prepares supplemental schedules that are required for the annual statement. Works with minimal supervision and is responsible for making an established range of decisions, escalating to management when necessary and updating management on a regular basis.

Summary of Responsibilities: Encompasses two different areas of responsibility and, generally, assigned responsibilities are rotated between associates every three weeks. The first area requires expertise in the operation of electronic data processing (EDP) equipment, knowledge of computer room procedures and understanding of systems input/output. The second area of responsibility requires knowledge of the policies or rules governing confidential data and check issuance for the Company and subsidiaries as well as expertise in using PC-based software applications. Responsible for the accurate and secure production and distribution of over 305,000 checks and over 4,500,000 EFT's annually. Operates under varying degrees of supervision (moving toward minimum) dependent upon his/her experience level. Is virtually independent concerning the management of his/her operation of EDP equipment and applications in accordance with a prescribed schedule. Works with some supervision and is responsible to make a minimal range of decisions, escalating to Manager when appropriate, and updating Manager on a regular basis.

Summary of Responsibilities: Scans and indexes paper documents into workflow folders for further electronic processing for both fixed and variable products. Prioritizes imaging functions to fulfill client and representative requests in a timely and quality manner. All requests are to be handled in accordance with contract provisions, departmental standards, individual affiliate Partnership Agreements governing time service and Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) procedural guidelines. Applies the correct indexing schema to each document by indicating the correct company, department, account, folder and policyholder name on each form and verifies clarity of image.
