Coordinates and completes day-to-day Enterprise-level projects within Western & Southern Financial Group (WSFG) using a combination of disciplines (process, change, business and technical). Manages a variety of large-scale, Enterprise-wide initiatives simultaneously while serving as the single point of contact for those initiatives. Leads/Coordinates all aspects of projects including planning/scheduling, scope management, communication management, issue/risk management, resource management, procurement/vendor management, project integration, financial management, change management and quality management through all portions of the project and development lifecycles such as ideation/conceptualization, rationalization/prioritization, requirements, design, build/configuration, testing, documentation, training, deployment, stabilization and closure. Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities/tasks, and monitors and summarizes progress of their assigned projects. Ensures that project results meet requirements regarding quality, reliability, schedule and cost. Utilizes expertise and leadership skills to direct staff and to resolve issues to ensure project goals and requirements are met; relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Must be familiar with the system scope and project objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member, in order to effectively coordinate the activities of the team.

Working independently, prepares state and local tax compliance for various life and non-life corporate and joint venture entities. Assists in tax research that may arise during tax compliance preparation (e.g., due date and estimate requirements), and prepares and assembles state, county, municipal and other miscellaneous state and local taxes. Prepares supplemental schedules that are required for the annual statement. Works with minimal supervision and is responsible for making an established range of decisions, escalating to management when necessary and updating management on a regular basis.

Western & Southern’s complete Tax Function is currently outsourced to external contractors. This position will manage those contractors on a day-to-day basis in order to perform the following tasks: managing the Enterprise’s income, premium and sales tax compliance and reporting; state and local tax audits; tax cash-flow planning and projections; and research on various assignments received from Management.

Provides technical systems expertise in support of the development, implementation and testing of multi-disciplined, cross-departmental activities to support B2B and B2C. Provides detailed technical business analysis for small to medium Enterprise technology solutions. Leverages strong knowledge of life insurance and annuity product design and sales processes to design solutions that meet stated business needs. Interviews stakeholders to create functional requirements and communicates those requirements to solution/development teams through the software development life cycle (Agile, Waterfall, Iterative). Acts as a liaison between the business customers, Information Technology (IT) and third-party vendors by building relationships with internal and external customers. Brings to bear technical skills, product knowledge and data analysis to provide guidance and make recommendations to Manager on technology initiatives. Ensures IT and third-party vendors understand the business and stakeholder requirements and resolves any gaps in understanding. Responsible to make an established range of decisions, escalating to management when necessary and updating Manager on a regular basis.

Performs complex Enterprise financial accounting, reporting and analysis. Prepares and reviews journal entries on a day-to-day basis to properly record financial transactions. Prepares and reviews regulatory, external and internal financial reporting. Prepares financial analysis, presenting results to departmental and shared service leadership. Leads department and enterprise initiatives to support strategic activities and drive efficiencies. Works with minimal supervision and is responsible for making an established range of decisions, escalating to management when necessary.

Summary of Responsibilities: Provides leadership and direction to support business objectives of Western & Southern Financial Group (W&SFG) through cost-effective use of technology, staff and appropriate business practices. Leads production support and development efforts for application programming and/or technology infrastructure team(s). In addition to normal managerial expectations, ensures efficient, cost-effective operation, and oversees project development and implementation. Works with minimal supervision and is responsible for independently making a broad range of critical decisions, escalating to executive-level associates only when appropriate.

Summary of Responsibilities: Partners with Regional Vice President (aka external wholesaler) or National Account Managers (NAMs) to strategically manage territory; places calls and provides information about product features and benefits; develops and maintains relationships within assigned territory to promote the sale of W&SFGD products; works with minimal supervision and is responsible for making a range of decisions, escalating to Manager when appropriate and updating Manager on a regular basis.

Summary of Responsibilities: Encompasses two different areas of responsibility and, generally, assigned responsibilities are rotated between associates every three weeks. The first area requires expertise in the operation of electronic data processing (EDP) equipment, knowledge of computer room procedures and understanding of systems input/output. The second area of responsibility requires knowledge of the policies or rules governing confidential data and check issuance for the Company and subsidiaries as well as expertise in using PC-based software applications. Responsible for the accurate and secure production and distribution of over 305,000 checks and over 4,500,000 EFT's annually. Operates under varying degrees of supervision (moving toward minimum) dependent upon his/her experience level. Is virtually independent concerning the management of his/her operation of EDP equipment and applications in accordance with a prescribed schedule. Works with some supervision and is responsible to make a minimal range of decisions, escalating to Manager when appropriate, and updating Manager on a regular basis.

Summary of Responsibilities: Assists in the meal preparation, production and service for approximately 2,000 meals daily utilizing standard recipes for hot, cold and specialty food items. Rotates among six positions and performs multiple prep and cooking functions. Cleans and sanitizes personal work spaces and assists with various kitchen tasks. Under the direction of the Sous Chef and management, is responsible for making a limited range of decisions, escalating to management as needed.

Summary of Responsibilities: Provides financial accounting services for the Touchstone Mutual Funds/Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) and corresponding impact to Touchstone’s business unit. Assists with the financial reporting responsibilities of the Touchstone Mutual Funds/ETFs, including the preparation and review of the quarterly, semi-annual and annual financial statements; management reporting; and board reporting materials. Assists with the day-to-day oversight of fund accounting and financial reporting functions by directing and interacting with third-party service providers and external auditors of the funds. Builds relationships with external service providers and external auditors. Participates with management as a business partner in the regulatory operations of the funds and the Touchstone business unit. Assists with acquisitions and mergers and the corresponding financial integration and conversions. Suggests and assists with the implementation of cost savings. Serves as back-up to the senior staff accountant of the Touchstone Mutual Funds/ETFs as required. Works with minimal supervision escalating to management when appropriate.

Summary of Responsibilities: Performs medical underwriting/medical risk analysis, establishes underwriting standards, and reads EKG's for Western & Southern and Columbus Life New Business. Acts as a consultant for the Benefits Department, including employee health and disability coverage. Provides limited patient care, including injuries, in the Health Services Department. Additionally, consults with Claims Administration as needed.

Summary of Responsibilities: Works in the dish room, covers shifts and assists the Kitchen Steward as needed. Cleans, sanitizes and stores all dishes, pots, pans, utensils and major equipment in the Cafeteria. Performs other general cleaning according to a daily Sanitation Log. Under direct supervision, is responsible for making a limited range of decisions, escalating to Lead worker and updating management as necessary.

Summary of Responsibilities: Processes and approves complex contract and policy changes which may include conversions, reinstatements, face amount increases, add and cancel riders, add and cancel benefits, loans, surrenders, partial surrenders, etc., for Fixed, Variable and Indexed Life contracts utilizing various administrative systems. Interacts with Senior Case Analysts and other departments to complete transactions. Works with some supervision but is empowered to approve applications and other decisions within the limits of authority level, and coordinates workflow of cases outside authority limits to underwriter, manager or other departments for final disposition. Completes appropriate transactions, and thoroughly reviews and validates output to ensure accuracy. Ensures compliance rules regarding all processing are met. Researches inquiries and provides prompt and accurate service to internal and external customers.
